養液とは、水耕栽培システムにおいて、植物に必要なすべての必須栄養素を根に直接供給する、水に溶解したミネラル塩の混合物です。土壌のミネラル供給の役割を代替します。完全な養液には、6つの主要栄養素（N、P、K、Ca、Mg、S）と、植物が利用可能なイオンの形で必要なすべての微量栄養素が含まれており、各元素が可溶性で吸収可能であるように、適切なpH範囲に調整されています。
