循環式水耕栽培システム（リサーキュレーションシステムまたはクローズドループシステムとも呼ばれる）とは、養液を中央の貯水槽から連続的または定期的に植物にポンプで送り、再利用のために同じ貯水槽に戻すシステムのことです。これは、流出水を廃棄するドレイン・トゥ・ウェイストシステムとは対照的です。循環式システムは資源効率が高いですが、同じ溶液が根圏を繰り返し通過するため、pH、EC、および病原体制御のより積極的な管理が必要です。

- Nutrient solution is recirculated rather than discarded — lower water and fertiliser consumption
- Examples: DWC, RDWC, NFT, ebb-and-flow, Dutch bucket with return lines
- pH and EC must be monitored daily — concentrations change as plants absorb differentially
- Pathogens spread rapidly through recirculating systems if root rot takes hold
- Full reservoir change every 7–14 days prevents salt and pathogen accumulation
- Requires a return drain from growing channels back to the reservoir
